Horse Gram  was prescribed in ancient Indian medical classics as fast‑food item beneficial for diabetics.The pancreatic α‑amylase inhibitory activity in Horse Gram helps with blood glucose spikes

Lotus is the national flower of India. The vegetable with many benefits : lotus root’s* glycemic index* (GI) is 33, making it a low GI food. So, it’s a good choice for preventing blood sugar increases after meals.

Indian Persimmon: Also known as Tendu fruit, its an exotic delicacy available in forests of central & northern India! The fruit naturally regulates intestinal α-glucosidase and pancreatic α-amylase helping diet-induced sugar spikes among people with diabetes.

Finger Millet: 2023 was declared the Year of Millets by India!Also known as  Ragi , it has a low  glycemic index (GI), which means it causes a slower and more gradual  rise in blood sugar levels compared to high-GI foods. This can be  beneficial for people with diabetes as it helps to prevent rapid spikes  in blood sugar levels.

Semal Flower: Calyces of Bombax ceiba,scientific name, (Śālmali, शाल्मली ) are used as vegetable by traditional Indian folks! It helps with blood sugar spikes by regulating pancreatic α-amylase and intestinal α-glucosidase enzymes.

Mango Seed: Need less to say mango seed is present in every Indian household in the mango pickle!
